New Woodcliff Lake Council Members Sworn In

Lynda Heinemann, Josephine Higgins and Paul Camella

On Wednesday, January 1, 2003, Mayor Josephine Higgins swore in Woodcliff Lake's two new council members at Borough Hall.

Paul Camella and Lynda Heinemann, both Republicans, replace Marcia Denbeaux and Robert Rosenblatt, both Democrats. Camella and Heinemann join Republicans John Glaser and Joanne Howley, and Democrats Jon Vogel and Peter Van Riper, on the council.

Despite the inclement weather, a good crowd was present to welcome in the New Year and the new council members. The ceremony was open to the public and was advertised on the bulletin board at the Old Mill.

Lynda's mother held the family bible as Lynda was sworn in. Also present to witness the ceremony were Lynda's three daughters, son-in-law and two grandsons.

Paul's daughter held her family's bible for her father, as Paul's wife and son looked on.

Both council members indicated that they are looking forward to getting to work on the issues facing our town. Their first official public meeting will be on Monday, January 6, 2003 at 8 PM at Borough Hall. If you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss with Paul (201-476-1514) or Lynda (201-391-4641), please give them a call.
